Christy Jones

Christy Jones is a Senior Associate Lawyer with Bomza Law Group and has practiced corporate immigration law exclusively since commencing her legal career over 8 years ago. She works with corporate clients and individuals to develop comprehensive immigration strategies to meet business demands and comply with Canadian immigration legislation. While focusing primarily on admissibility issues, temporary status applications, permanent residence, and citizenship applications, Christy has acquired extensive experience working with large multi-national corporations around the world facilitating the successful entry and  extensions of stay of their employees in Canada.

Christy has spoken at immigration legal conferences, and written several immigration articles pertaining to developing corporate immigration policy and immigration compliance. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Christy worked with Air Canada for over four years where she developed a keen sense of client service. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with honours in Spanish from Dalhousie University, as well as a Post Secondary Diploma in Interpreting and Translating from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario and is licensed to practice law in Ontario. Christy speaks French and Spanish fluently in addition to English, and is conversant in German.
